Dongfeng Commercial Vehicles Makes a Splash at New Energy Vehicle Parts Expo
On September 19, the 2025 China New Energy Vehicle Parts Expo grandly opened in Shiyan. With the theme of "Intelligent Connected New Ecosystem, Green Power for Global Chain", this expo brought together leading vehicle and parts enterprises, industry experts, upstream and downstream industrial chain partners, as well as domestic and foreign procurement groups. They jointly discussed the development trends of new energy and intelligent connected vehicles, and promoted industrial collaborative innovation and green transformation.

At the ceremony, the country's first group standard "Commercial Vehicle Preparation Technical Specification" was released, providing an important basis for the standardized development of the industry.

It focused on displaying its Dongfeng Longqing 3.0 integrated power chain, Dongfeng Denna)electric drive axles, star models covering multiple fuel types such as oil, electricity and gas, and a number of industry-leading self-developed technology parts, fully presenting its technological innovation achievements and industrial chain collaboration capabilities.

For many years, the China New Energy Vehicle Parts Expo has been held here continuously, and it has become an important window to display regional manufacturing strength and promote industry exchanges.
Compared with previous sessions, this expo has achieved comprehensive upgrades in scale, level and topics. It not only gathered vehicle and parts enterprises and organized multiple release conferences for new products, new technologies and new services, but also included emerging fields such as artificial intelligence and low-altitude economy in the exchange agenda for the first time. This demonstrates the new trend of cross-industry integration, realizes full-format coverage from parts to complete vehicles, and further promotes the cultivation and development of new formats and models in the automobile industry.

At this expo, Dongfeng Commercial Vehicles focused on displaying the latest achievements of two key assemblies, core parts and new energy complete vehicles, fully demonstrating its comprehensive strength in new energy technology research and development, vehicle manufacturing and industrial chain collaboration.
Longqing 3.0 Power Chain Technology Display
At the expo site, Dongfeng Longqing showcased three classic golden power chains: DGi13 engine + DA12 gearbox, DDi11 engine + DA12 gearbox, and DDi13 engine + DA12 gearbox, which attracted the attention of many guests. As Dongfeng's self-developed third-generation power assembly, the Longqing 3.0 integrated high-efficiency intelligent power chain has self-identification, self-learning and self-regulation functions. It can realize the optimal gas or fuel consumption matching according to vehicle speed, load and road conditions, ensuring strong power while reducing energy consumption to the industry-leading level.
Among them, the Longqing DGi13 gas engine is matched with the DA12 automatic gearbox, which has lower gas consumption in the economic speed range. It has a maximum power of 540 horsepower and a peak torque of 2500 Nm, with significant low-speed and high-torque characteristics, making it easy to climb slopes and overtake. With the intelligent E-neutral coasting mode, Kickdown rapid downshifting, cold region automatic temperature control curve and intelligent thermal management technology, it can further reduce energy consumption and ensure stable operation under severe cold working conditions.
The Longqing DDi13 fuel engine is matched with the DA12 automatic gearbox, and its fuel consumption is reduced by more than 4% compared with similar products. It has sufficient power and smooth shifting. The key components are made of high-strength materials, ensuring stable and reliable long-term use. The combination of Longqing DDi11 fuel engine and DA12 automatic gearbox balances economy and durability, with a minimum fuel consumption rate of only 178 g/kWh. It supports multiple driving modes, with stable power output and smooth shifting, reducing impact and maintenance costs, and adapting to a variety of complex working conditions.
Company Profile: Dongfeng Denna Axle
Dongfeng Denna's EP28D/28DS series electric drive axles and EP5/7/9D series electric drive axles exhibited this time also attracted much attention. The EP28D series is tailor-made for medium and heavy-duty pure electric special vehicles and logistics vehicles, including the basic version and the newly upgraded high-power version EP28DS. It highly integrates AMT, motor and drive axle, effectively releasing the chassis space and easily coping with complex scenarios. The system realizes efficient transmission through two-speed arrangement, with an overall weight reduction of more than 400 kg, significantly improving the battery life.
The EP28DS is equipped with a high-power, high-torque drive flat wire motor, with stronger power, a maximum speed of 100 km/h, a maximum climbing gradient of 30%, and excellent heavy-load performance. The standardized interface design simplifies the upgrade process, and the modular structure and automatic shifting function also improve controllability and driving comfort.
The EP5/7/9 series is oriented to urban logistics and terminal distribution, focusing on energy conservation and economy. This series provides standard load, heavy load and ultra-heavy load versions, fully covering multiple application scenarios such as urban, urban-rural, inter-city and mountainous areas. Through electronic control and transmission optimization, it achieves low energy consumption and high battery life; the lightweight design improves cargo efficiency; the pure electric drive ensures zero emissions and low noise, making it particularly suitable for community night operations. The ultra-heavy load version can be optionally equipped with a power take-off device, expanding to multi-functional uses such as dump trucks, municipal services and resource transportation. The modular platform supports flexible selection, the integrated design reduces failure and maintenance costs, and the whole-life cycle economy is significant.
In addition, Dongfeng Commercial Vehicles further focused on displaying core parts such as pure electric three-in-one EMT assembly, five-in-one controller system and new energy vehicle controller, and brought a number of new energy models including Tianjin KR pure electric sanitation vehicle, Tianjin KR pure electric truck and Tianlong KL pure electric tractor. These models cover multiple scenarios such as urban sanitation, urban distribution logistics and resource transportation, reflecting its systematic layout in the field of new energy commercial vehicles. The rich product matrix further highlights Dongfeng Commercial Vehicles' development concept of full scenarios and full industrial chain.
It is reported that this expo will last for 3 days until September 21, and a number of special forums and technical exchange activities will be held during the period.
